About the Role
Fresh Prep is seeking a results-oriented Director of Product Marketing to lead the positioning and customer experience of our product lines across Canada. This senior role will drive go-to-market strategy for new products, foster category growth, and collaborate to create features that enhance customer value and increase basket sizes.
You will leverage data to personalize the customer experience, and ensure that our product offerings are competitive and aligned with customer needs. You will own off-the-shelf product selection and sales, and share accountability for achieving AOV targets with the Product team.
What Youβll Do
- Customer Segmentation & Personalization: Lead strategies to understand customer behaviors and tailor offerings. Leverage the loyalty program to drive personalized marketing, repeat purchases, and higher order values.
- Merchandising Strategy: Optimize product placement, pricing, and promotions across digital platforms to increase basket size and sales.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Lead GTM strategy for new products and formats, ensuring successful launches and adoption.
- Category Growth: Own product marketing across meal kits, RTE, and grocery to grow category sales nationally and regionally. Own strategy and sales targets for off-the-shelf products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Digital, Marketing, Ops, and Product teams to prioritize high-impact features and tools.
- Packaging Strategy: Help guide packaging decisions that enhance brand perception, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Data-Led Campaigns: Launch and optimize campaigns using customer insights to increase engagement, reorders, and feature adoption.
- Trend & Market Insights: Monitor industry trends and analyze customer feedback to refine positioning and inform product strategy.
- A/B Testing & Optimization: Drive ongoing experimentation to improve product features and marketing effectiveness.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable reporting to leadership on campaign impact, sales performance, and growth initiatives.
What You Bring
- Experience: 6+ years in product marketing, category management, or strategic brand/product roles, with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets..
- Data Expertise: Strong ability to leverage customer and market data to inform segmentation, personalization, and go-to-market strategies.
- GTM Leadership: Experience leading go-to-market efforts, with a strong focus on customer segmentation, personalization, and merchandising.
- Merchandising Expertise: Proven ability to drive product placement, pricing, and promotion strategies that optimize sales and drive growth across multiple channels.
- Customer-Centric: A passion for understanding customer needs, behaviors, and motivations, and a deep commitment to delivering a seamless, personalized customer experience.
- Ecommerce & Loyalty Expertise: Experience briefing product features that enhance average order value and in leveraging a customer loyalty platform to drive product adoption, repeat purchases and basket size.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-Starter: Able to thrive in an environment where you can take initiative, lead projects independently, and drive results with limited direction.
Background in (and a love of) food, CPG, ecommerce, or subscription services is preferred.

- A base salary of $140,000 - $150,000
