About the Role:

Senior Generative AI Data Scientist to pioneer cutting-edge solutions in agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You will lead the design, development, and deployment of autonomous AI systems that solve complex, open-ended problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end RAG pipelines for real-time knowledge retrieval, reasoning, and generation.

• Build multi-agent frameworks capable of collaboration, self-correction, and task decomposition.

• Fine-tune and prompt-engineer LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Llama) for mission-critical tasks.

• Optimize latency, cost, and accuracy in generative workflows (e.g., query routing, context compression).

• Curate domain-specific datasets for training/evaluation and mitigate hallucinations via RLHF/DPO.

• Implement advanced evaluation metrics for agentic performance (e.g., task success, coherence, safety).

• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with ML engineers to productionize agentic systems.

• Translate ambiguous business needs into scalable AI solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience deploying RAG (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and agentic frameworks (AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph).

• Expertise in LLMOps: quantization, vector DBs (Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate), and orchestration (LangGraph).

• Fluency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Experience with evaluation tools (TruLens, RAGAS, LangSmith) and optimization techniques (LoRA, QLoRA etc.).

• Track record of leading generative AI initiatives from concept to deployment.

• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to executives and stakeholders.

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 - $160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
