Fullstack Data Scientist-AIML

Role Overview:

We are looking for a versatile and skilled Full Stack Data Scientist to join our Provider Search Inference team. This role combines backend infrastructure development with frontend engineering to deliver intelligent, scalable, and user-friendly search capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong Python backend experience, familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, and a passion for building robust systems from end to end.

Key Responsibilities:

Backend & Infrastructure

• Develop backend services using Python, applying OOP principles, Domain Driven Design, and scalable system architecture.
• Build and maintain infrastructure components and test automation frameworks.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Implement offline batch processes using workflow/task frameworks like Airflow or Redis-Broker.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
• Use containerization tools such as Docker, Docker-Compose, and Kubernetes.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

Frontend Development

• Design and implement responsive user interfaces using React and/or Angular.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional components.
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services.
• Optimize frontend performance and maintain cross-browser compatibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with deep learning or machine learning engineering, especially handling vectorized data using NumPy, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Familiarity with software testing frameworks and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of vector stores and indexing technologies such as FAISS, Pinecone, pg-vector, or Redis.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend development.
• Hands-on experience with React and/or Angular for frontend development.
• Solid understanding of system design and software architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 - $160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
