About the Role

At Four28 Marketing, we help local service businesses—painters, roofers, HVAC, remodelers, and more—generate booked jobs that grow their business.

We’re hiring a Digital Marketing Copywriter who can craft clear, persuasive, and conversion-focused messaging across websites, landing pages, paid ads, and CRM sequences. Your words will directly impact leads, calls, and closed deals.

This is not a “blogging” role. This is about performance copywriting—writing that grabs attention, speaks to homeowners’ pain points, and gets them to take action.

What You’ll Do

• Write high-converting copy for websites, landing pages, funnels, and paid ads (Google, Meta, Nextdoor).
• Create persuasive email and SMS sequences that move leads toward booking.
• Build messaging frameworks that hit homeowner pain points and show why our clients are the obvious choice.
• Refine and tighten existing copy so it’s sharper, clearer, and more persuasive.
• Collaborate with designers and strategists to make sure copy, visuals, and funnels all work together.

Who We’re Looking For

• 5+ years writing marketing copy that converts (agency or freelance).
• Proven success generating leads and sales with your copy (be ready to show examples).
• You leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, etc.) to move faster, generate options, and refine messaging—but you know how to apply strategy, judgment, and personality so the copy doesn’t read like AI wrote it.
• Expert at short-form persuasion: headlines, hooks, ads, funnels.
• Strong sense of branding and tonality—you know how to match voice and add personality.
• Obsessed with clarity and simplicity. You don’t write novels—you write words that move people to act.
• U.S.-based and available for collaboration during business hours CST.

What We Offer

• Contract/part-time role: $2,000 – $5,000/month depending on experience.
