About the Role

We are seeking a Shopify Developer with UX/UI Design Expertise to join our remote team and help elevate our online presence. This role blends technical development with creative vision, requiring someone who can build intuitive, high-converting e-commerce experiences aligned with our values and aesthetics.

You’ll work closely with our marketing and creative teams to bring product launches, educational content, and digital storytelling to life on our Shopify site. While we're ideally seeking someone who can handle both development and front-end design, we’re open to hiring two candidates if needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain multiple Shopify storefronts
• Build custom themes and templates using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Collaborate with our creative team on UX/UI design that reflects brand values and enhances customer journey
• Integrate third-party tools and apps for CRM, subscriptions, affiliate marketing, email marketing, analytics, and more
• Optimize site performance, load speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO
• Troubleshoot bugs and platform issues efficiently
• Provide support during key launches or site updates (some nights/weekends as needed)
• Manage version control and deployments using tools like Git

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Shopify development experience
• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, especially for e-commerce
• Experience with headless commerce and Shopify Plus
• Experience integrating APIs and third-party platforms (Klaviyo, ReCharge, Rebuy, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment with strong communication skills
• Deep appreciation for wellness, plant medicine, or mission-aligned businesses
• Bonus: Design background or portfolio showcasing UX or visual design work

Compensation

This is a senior-level, full-time remote role. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. We are offering a salary range of $85,000 – $110,000 USD, with additional opportunities for performance-based bonuses, flexible scheduling, and long-term growth within a purpose-driven company.
