In this role, you will join an established, high-performing engineering environment at Forte, collaborating across international teams to deliver scalable software architectures and seamless user experiences. You will lead a dedicated engineering pod embedded within an enterprise product ecosystem, driving the modernization of a large-scale compliance and administration suite using an AI-first delivery methodology with cutting-edge tools.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will contribute to its success by owning end-to-end technical delivery, aligning closely with client technical leadership to enhance established architecture, driving pod autonomy, and optimizing AI context templates to maximize engineering throughput and team velocity.

Key Competencies

Lead the re-platforming and modernization of complex enterprise application pages from legacy server-rendered architectures to a modern, high-performance component stack.
Enforce rigorous quality standards across unit testing, Playwright automated regression/parity validation, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, and Snyk security compliance gates.
Establish frontend performance discipline (render efficiency, memoization, code-splitting, bundle size optimization) to ensure modern interfaces exceed legacy responsiveness benchmarks.

Mandatory Technical Skills

10+ years of production software engineering experience with deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot 4.0 / Java 25)
React experience with TypeScript, and frontend performance profiling, along with a proven track record migrating legacy stacks (JSP or similar).
Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure, Hands-on experience using Claude Code or similar AI coding agents to drive engineering throughput, paired with strong automated testing frameworks (Playwright) and client collaboration tooling (Jira, Bitbucket, Figma).

Nice to Have Skills

Experience authoring or optimizing claude.md layered context templates and working with the Figma MCP server for design-system-driven development.
Background in multi-tenant SaaS architecture, tenant isolation, data-model design, API layers, and LLM-backed product features.
Practical exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy environments (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR).

Solution-oriented technical leader with a track record of driving small, high-bandwidth engineering teams, defining standards, and planning multi-phase modernization strategies.
Automation-first mindset with a focus on eliminating manual bottlenecks through automated parity testing and continuous integration pipelines.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills, with a strong enthusiasm for AI-assisted delivery models and continuous knowledge sharing.
