Weโre currently working with large retailer in the pet space. Our client in this space is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences, supporting animal welfare, and fostering community impact.
They are seeking a seasoned UI Designer to join this organizationโs design team in a remote capacity, who is ready to contribute to a demanding, cross-functional UX workload. The role demands balance between web and mobile design, rapid iterations, and collaboration with product, engineering, and research partners to deliver high-quality, scalable UI across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute componentized UI work that aligns with a design system and supports developer handoffs.
- Partner with UX Research, principal designers, product managers, and engineers to drive GV/UX initiatives from discovery through validation.
- Design for web and mobile experiences (iOS/Android) with familiarity of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design.
- Craft e-commerce-centric flows (PLP/PDP, cart, checkout) optimized for conversion and usability.
- Present insights and design rationale to diverse audiences, from individual contributors to executives, and facilitate design reviews and workshops.
- Participate in cross-functional rituals (UX labs, standups, planning cadences) and accommodate frequent feedback cycles within an agile/PI environment.
- Balance speed with rigor to deliver MVP-focused solutions that respect engineering constraints and business priorities (personalization, auto-ship, AI features).
- Align performance metrics to business outcomes (CTR, conversion, RPV, AOV) and contribute to priority initiatives and experiments.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Approximately 5โ7 years of experience as a UI designer capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced, triad-model environment supporting web, mobile, services, loyalty, and associate-facing interfaces.
- Proficiency across web and mobile platforms (iOS/Android) with knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design; experience designing e-commerce flows including PDP/PLP, cart, and checkout.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate research and design outcomes for varied audiences (design, product, engineering, leadership).
- Collaborative nature with UX Research, principal designers, product managers, and engineers; comfortable in workshops and daily UX standups and open to frequent feedback sessions (UX Labs).
- Hands-on expertise with Figma, design systems, componentized UI, and producing developer-ready handoffs, with a bias toward iterative, MVP-driven solutions within engineering constraints.
- Business-minded approach aimed at driving measurable outcomes (CTR, conversions, RPV, AOV) and supporting key initiatives like personalization, auto-ship, and AI features.
- Experience operating within an agile/PI planning cadence and the ability to balance shorter turnaround needs with longer validation cycles; capable of collaborating across multiple product areas rather than a single silo.
