Austin Pensinger, Engineering Manager at Formstack, is looking to hire someone who will complement and strengthen the team.

Who You Are:**

As a senior software engineer, you are a professional with a passion for problem-solving, motivation to continuously learn, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on our products and teams. You should exercise a relentless ambition to build innovative solutions that maximize the user experience while balanced with consideration of application simplicity, performance, scalability, extensibility, and security. You are an experienced full-stack developer talented in PHP 7.4+, Laravel, MySQL, and Git.

You act as a leader within your area of expertise. You enjoy helping your teammates with their code, estimates, and PR reviews. You communicate effectively and collaborate well with colleagues. You are a detail-oriented individual that can help organize a project and see its execution from start to finish. You are able to make decisions independently, while also knowing when to build consensus or reach out for help. You are a team player and enjoy having fun.

**
What You’ll Do:**

• Practice Scrum methodology to ensure features ship as planned and scheduled.
• Participate actively in team discussions, Scrum ceremonies, and product demos.
• Maintain and evolve application that gathers and processes user data, producing documents in various formats and delivering them to 3rd party systems
• Serve as a technical resource for development project plans.
• Execute projects, fix bugs, write tests, reduce technical debt, and maintain technical documentation.
• Mentor others to expand their knowledge, contributions, and professional development.
• Able to quickly investigate and resolve reported warnings and alerts for our infrastructure, especially during on-call rotations.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide meaningful feedback for necessary updates.

What We’re Looking For:**

• Excellent written and oral English communication skills
• 5+ years experience as an engineer working with modern technologies and agile
• Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking
• Expert understanding of PHP & SQL
• Expert understanding of Unit Testing
• Proficient with version control systems (preferably Git) and code repositories (preferably Github)
• Excellent understanding of OOP concepts and software design patterns
• Code Analysis
  • Ability to analyze code for performance improvements
• Self-directed, ability to make your own decisions with little guidance
• Ability to plan the technical part of a release from start to finish
• The Ability to travel (<10%) for team meetups, conferences, etc.
• Leadership & Training opportunities

• Experience working on a SaaS product
• Experience with high-performance systems
• Full-stack experience
• Scrum certification
• AWS certifications
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Smarty template language experience

Salary Range: $130,000-$140,000 per year (USD)**

This is a remote (work-from-anywhere) position.**
