Project Engineer/Project Manager
Location: Remote with occasional travel (1 to 2 site visits per month)
Type: Long term contract or contract to hire
Compensation: $50 to $65 per hour
Position Summary
Seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager to support the delivery of energy and infrastructure improvement projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and manufacturing environments. This individual will oversee project execution from planning through completion, coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide project support throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, material suppliers, and customer stakeholders
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and overall project performance
• Review subcontractor schedules, progress updates, and change requests
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and scope reviews
• Oversee field activities, workmanship quality, and construction progress
• Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and change order records
• Lead regular project meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders
• Track project milestones and identify potential schedule or budget impacts
• Review contractor progress and support payment approval processes
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and established safety standards
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline preferred
• Project engineering, construction management, or project management experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with energy efficiency, HVAC, building controls, lighting upgrades, renewable energy systems, or related infrastructure projects is highly preferred
