- Design, develop, and deploy artificial intelligence solutions and automations to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency;
- Develop and maintain scalable AI solutions that are sustainable and secure;
- Integrate AI models into existing business systems, applications, and digital platforms;
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to collect, clean, and prepare data for model development;
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with data governance standards;
- Develop feature engineering approaches to enhance model performance;
- Perform ongoing model tuning, optimisation, and retraining to ensure effectiveness over time;
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AI models and deployments;
- Execute small projects or key tasks in larger projects;
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and vendors;
- Conduct testing, validation, and quality assurance prior to implementation;
- Maintain project documentation, technical specifications, and implementation records;
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve processes, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making;
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices;
- Contribute to the organisation’s digital innovation roadmap and AI strategy;
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
- Communicate technical concepts and model outputs to non-technical stakeholders;
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams adopting AI solutions;
- Ensure AI solutions comply with organisational governance, data privacy, and ethical standards;
- Support the development of responsible and transparent AI practices;
- Maintain documentation for AI models, processes, and system integrations;
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base promoting the use, understanding, and application of AI tools and solutions;
- Develop and co-create training materials, user guides, and documentation to support adoption and effective utilisation of AI systems;
- Provide technical guidance and ongoing support to users to ensure effective and responsible use of AI solutions.
- Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (Essential);
- Postgraduate qualification (Advantageous);
- 2-5 years’ experience in software development and engineering (Essential);
- Experience in AI Solutions and automations (Essential);
- Knowledge of Software development;
- Knowledge of Large Language Models;
- Knowledge of API integration;
- Knowledge of AI technologies, tools, models;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Attention to detail;
