Contract Front-End Engineer – Node-RED Dashboard

FlowForge, backed by Open Core Ventures and Cota Capital, is searching for a highly skilled Contract Front-End Engineer to develop the successor to the Node-RED Dashboard. This project, expected to span 2 months, requires a solid understanding of Vue.js and Node.js.

As a Contract Front-End Engineer for FlowForge, you'll contribute significantly to the creation of our new dashboard. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing new features, maintaining the highest quality standards, and collaborating closely with the community. Your innovative approach and technical expertise will be key to the successful execution of this project.

Core Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the successor to the Node-RED dashboard using Vue.js and Node.js
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Collaborate with the team to define, design, and shape new features
• Identify and troubleshoot software defects, and assist in the resolution
• Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the project

Skills:

Must-Have:

• Proven experience as a software developer, with a focus on Vue.js and Node.js.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience with FlowForge
• Understanding of how to build and manage custom Node-RED nodes

About You:

• Proven experience as a software developer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and tools
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• 3 - 5 years of experience as a software developer
• Degree in Computer Science, a similar field, or equivalent work experience
