The Communications & Social Media Manager will define, coordinate, and execute the company’s communication strategies, overseeing internal and external messaging with a strong emphasis on social media, content marketing, and audience engagement. This role involves managing the scheduling, creation, and performance of all forward-facing content across social media, email marketing, blogs, and podcasts.
The Communications & Social Media Manager plays a pivotal role in crafting high-impact content strategies that enhance brand awareness, increase engagement, and drive customer growth. They will oversee social media management, including content development, audience interaction, trend monitoring, and performance analytics to refine strategies for maximum impact. Additionally, they will lead email marketing initiatives to deliver valuable content, optimize open rates, and nurture customer relationships.
This position reports directly to the CMO while collaborating with other key stakeholders. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication and social media strategies that align with business goals to support audience engagement, lead generation, and brand growth.
- Create, schedule, and manage content across multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) with a strategic three-week lead time.
- Write and proofread compelling content for newsletters, blogs, social media posts, and video scripts, maintaining brand voice and consistency.
- Actively engage with social media communities, respond to comments/messages, and cultivate meaningful audience interactions to increase brand loyalty.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance, leveraging data to refine content strategies and maximize reach, engagement, and conversions.
- Build and execute social media chat funnels, manage influencer collaborations, and oversee content distribution for podcasts and blog publications.
- Track and analyze KPIs, including social media engagement, impressions, reach, conversions, and email marketing performance, providing detailed reporting and actionable insights.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging digital marketing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Present quarterly social media content plans and performance reports to leadership, incorporating trends and strategic growth suggestions.
- Lead nurturing strategies through email and newsletter development, focusing on audience education and relationship-building content.
Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 4+ years of experience in digital marketing, communications, and social media management, with a proven track record of growing and engaging online communities.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills to craft compelling, audience-aligned content.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Later, Sprout Social, Hootsuite) and a deep understanding of platform-specific strategies.
- Basic video editing and content creation skills (preferred).
- Strategic and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into impactful content strategies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple social media accounts, develop innovative content, and execute strategies with creativity and precision.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects, campaigns, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Leadership and communication skills to guide content development and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Experience with ManyChat or chatbot automation tools (a plus but not mandatory).
- Passion for storytelling, digital trends, and brand-building through content-driven marketing.
