Description

Director of Product Marketing

Location: Remote | Department: Marketing | Reports to: VP of Marketing

Flosum is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Product Marketing. This is a high-impact opportunity for a marketer with in-depth understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, DevOps practices, and the specific requirements of technical and enterprise buyers. As the first dedicated product marketer on the team, you will own this function, spearhead go-to-market strategy across our products, and lay the groundwork for future team expansion.

Responsibilities

Leading Product Marketing Strategy:

  • Design and improve our product marketing plans for everything Flosum offers: DevOps, Data Backup & Archive, and others.
  • Come up with clear and exciting ways to talk about our products that speak to Salesforce architects, developers, admins, and enterprise ITDMs.
  • Find new ways our products can be used, new industries we can reach, and new things our platform can do.

Driving Go-to-Market Execution

  • Manage the launch of new products from start to finish, working with the Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams.
  • Create enablement material for the sales team, like presentations, guides for different use cases, one sheets, and info to help them win against competitors.
  • Build out content to help move the buyer through the journey, with points to help them engage their leadership in the sales process.
  • Make sure our launch plans match what our marketing and brand teams are doing to get the word out and bring in leads.

Owning Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Do your homework to really understand who we're trying to reach, what industries they're in, and who else is out there in the Salesforce/DevOps world.
  • Be the voice of the customer inside the company, sharing what you learn to help shape what our product, sales, and marketing teams do.
  • Keep an eye on what's happening in enterprise DevOps, compliance, and low-code development to help us make smart choices for the future.

Establishing Content & Campaign Alignment

  • Team up with the content and demand generation folks to make product-focused materials that help our marketing efforts at every stage.
  • Explain what our technical features do in a way that customers understand the benefits and why it matters to both tech people and executives.

Building The Foundation For Scale

  • Set up the best ways of doing things, the right tools, and smooth processes for product marketing.
  • As we grow, help find and guide new product marketers to support our expanding plans.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing for B2B software (SaaS), ideally with a focus on DevOps or Salesforce.
  • Good grasp of how Salesforce is put together, how development works, and security postures.
  • Proven ability to create messaging that resonates with technical people, especially developers and enterprise IT teams.
  • Experience handling product launches, giving sales teams what they need, and planning how to take products to market.
  • Great at talking and telling stories, able to make complicated stuff sound clear and convincing.
  • A good team player, takes initiative, and can handle the fast pace of a startup environment.
  • Able to work independently while also setting up processes that can grow, showing both leadership skills and the ability to get things done.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings options.
  • Lots of vacation and time off.
  • Opportunities to learn new things and move up in your career.
