The Role
We’re looking for a creative, growth-driven Content Manager to lead and experiment with content strategies across gaming-focused IP drops, digital collectibles, and community activations. This role goes far beyond managing a calendar—it’s about developing and launching original campaigns, testing ideas in real time, and scaling what drives results.
The ideal candidate lives and breathes gaming culture, understands how to create social momentum, and brings a proven track record of implementing content strategies that directly impact growth metrics. You should be fluent in all things social—especially short-form content—and confident in using analytics to guide decision-making, optimize performance, and showcase the results of your creative strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the content strategy for Flickplay’s digital collectible and mini-game experiences, focused on driving user growth, retention, and community engagement
- Launch content initiatives that introduce new engagement loops, social rituals, or interactive formats tied to gaming IP drops
- Develop and manage content calendars—but prioritize experimentation over routine
- Source, brief, and manage creators to generate viral UGC that sparks FOMO and invites new users in
- Build and grow Flickplay’s presence across app, social media, Discord, and other community spaces
- Analyze what content performs, run A/B tests, and develop playbooks for scaling high-performing formats
- Collaborate with product, design, and partnerships teams to ensure content aligns with key platform growth goals
- Stay plugged into gaming trends, digital culture, and Gen Z behaviors to keep Flickplay at the edge of what’s next
You Bring
- 3+ years in content strategy, community growth, or creative marketing—ideally in gaming, consumer tech, or entertainment
- Proven history of introducing novel content strategies that increased community engagement or ecosystem growth
- Deep understanding of gaming communities, from AAA fandoms to TikTok creators to Discord-based microcultures
- Experience managing the production of social-first content across video, interactive formats, and UGC
- A data-savvy approach: you know how to test, learn, and iterate quickly
- You think like a creative growth hacker, not a traditional content manager
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional projects
Bonus Points If You
- Have worked with licensed IP or managed cross-platform activations
- Have led or built community engagement on Discord or other interactive platforms
- Are fluent in the language of Gen Z—memes, micro-trends, and platform-specific storytelling
- Have a network of creators or experience building influencer programs
- Play games and think like a player—understanding what drives motivation, loyalty, and shareability
