Software Engineer in Test (Mobile Automation)

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong experience in mobile automation testing for Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, work closely with development teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium.
• Perform testing on real devices as well as emulators/simulators to ensure app functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test scenarios, edge cases, and requirements.
• Implement CI/CD integration for automated testing (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
• Perform API and backend testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured.
• Track and report defects, test results, and provide actionable feedback to the team.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in mobile testing, automation frameworks, and tools.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Appium for Android and iOS automation.
• Familiarity with mobile gestures, UI elements, synchronization techniques, and device compatibility.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript and automation frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
• Experience with Page Object Model (POM) or other design patterns in test automation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure or ExtentReports.
• Experience with API and backend testing and understanding mobile-backend interactions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Experience with cloud-based device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
