We are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to drive the migration of a high-impact, data-intensive platform to a modern, scalable architecture. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, leading engineers, and shaping systems that operate at scale.

You will work closely with our CTO, DevOps, and product teams to translate architecture into execution, ensuring performance, reliability, and long-term scalability.

Focus areas: Data processing, performance optimization, scalable architecture, and

engineering leadership.

You will be working with: Healthtech/ Fintech Project

Compensation & Benefits

  • $80,000 - $90,000 USD / Year
  • Full-time (40 hours/week), fully remote
  • Core collaboration hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM CT (flexible beyond that)
  • Long-term, stable opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Migration

  • Lead implementation of new system architecture
  • Ensure safe and efficient migration from legacy implementation
  • Translate architecture decisions into technical implementation plans
  • Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and mentor development team
  • Perform code reviews, enforce best practices
  • Ensure high code quality and test coverage
  • Introduce modern tools and AI-assisted development workflows

Data Engineering

  • Design and optimize data models
  • Work with high-load data systems
  • Database normalization / denormalization
  • Query optimization and performance tuning
  • Implement ETL / data pipelines

Documentation & Planning

  • Convert business requirements into:
  • Technical documentation
  • Structured epics
  • Implementation plans
  • Support and document technical decisions

DevOps & Infrastructure

  • Participate in cloud migration
  • Work with containerized infrastructure
  • Support microservices architecture
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps

Observability & Reliability

  • Implement logging, monitoring, alerting
  • Ensure production stability and performance

Team & Process

  • Work with Product Owner and business stakeholders
  • Participate in Scrum / Agile processes
  • Coordinate technical work across the team
