About the Role
We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to lead and evolve our core reporting and analytics efforts, starting with ownership of our Daily Profitability Report — a key tool in how we measure and manage performance across the business. This role will collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and other teams to validate and improve existing reporting, support the development of new insights, and ultimately help automate and scale data tools that drive smarter, faster decision-making across departments.
This is a high-impact role with visibility across leadership. We're looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and passionate about solving hard problems through data.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and optimize daily reporting processes, including delivering the Daily Performance Report to cross-functional stakeholders with accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, including marketing performance analytics, metro-level business trends, customer insights, and financial metrics.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that support operational and strategic goals, making data accessible and actionable for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Tech) to understand business needs, define data requirements, and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Dive into large datasets to identify trends, diagnose issues, and uncover opportunities that inform decision-making and drive performance.
- Validate existing models against actual results, recommending improvements to enhance forecasting and accuracy.
- Build financial and operational reporting models in Excel, with the potential to support future automation in partnership with Tech.
- Support testing, experimentation, and implementation of operational changes, using data to validate assumptions, measure results, and inform iteration.
- Translate complex data into executive-level insights, presenting findings to leadership to influence strategy and outcomes.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in current reporting and analytics practices, recommending enhancements for scalability and impact.
- Establish and maintain documentation for reporting logic, data sources, and assumptions to promote transparency and knowledge sharing.

- Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy
- Intellectually curious and motivated to solve complex business problems
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work at once
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders and translate data into insights
- Bonus/Preferred: Experience with SQL, Python, or other coding languages
