Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it! This role serves as a technical resource for researching, developing and designing custom-engineered solutions for advanced equipment in a variety of highly technical industries.

At Fives, we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. This role:

• Maintains expert subject matter knowledge through additional training and experience in any of the following areas of Engineering, Methods and Technology: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical Controls, Finite Element Analysis, Materials and Welding.
• Utilizes engineering and physics principals to generate industrial machine designs
• Uses 3D CAD systems to generate mechanical designs, create assemblies and produce mechanical drawings
• Performs and interprets Finite Element Analysis using programs such as SolidWorks
• Uses PLM and PDM systems to manage data and configuration
• Provides and interprets pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• Troubleshoots and debugs industrial mechanical systems
• Mentors Level I and Level II engineers as needed

Our ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required)
• 5-7yrs Engineering experience (automation strongly preferred)
• PE certification a plus
• Experience in machinery design, hydraulics and pneumatics preferred
• Experience with CATIA/SolidWorks
• Ability to proactively anticipate potential problems and propose solutions
• Ability to analyze complicated systems
• Ability to develop designs and troubleshoot problems with limited oversight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
  Solid computer skills and experience

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $106,371.00-$140,490.00 annually, depending upon qualifications.
