If you’ve never directly managed paid lead gen campaigns in Google or Meta Ads, this role is not a fit. We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in performance marketing, not brand marketing or organic-only channels.

About the Role
We’re a lean, fast-moving debt relief company looking to hire our first in-house marketing lead. This person will own our client acquisition via digital marketing, with an emphasis on Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
Our business is driven by qualified lead generation — not brand awareness. You’ll be responsible for launching, managing, and optimizing campaigns that acquire clients efficiently and at scale. You'll also lead vendor oversight, SEO strategy, and website performance tracking.
This is not an agency-managed setup. We want someone who takes full ownership, brings proactive ideas, and tells us what’s missing — not the other way around. If you think a landing page isn’t working, you raise it. If tracking is off, you fix it or bring the right person in. You run it like it’s your business.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Media Ownership (Primary Focus)
- Fully manage Google Ads and Meta campaigns (Search, Display, Video, and Social)
- Own budgeting, scaling, A/B testing, and funnel optimization
- Build and maintain conversion tracking systems, including:
- Offline conversion uploads
- GCLID tracking
- UTM tagging
- CRM matchbacks
- Reduce CPA and improve lead quality — continuously
- Own creative direction for paid campaigns — from ad copy and angles to landing page messaging
- Coordinate with freelancers or internal team to produce ad creatives and LP variants based on testing insights
Sales Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the sales team to understand lead quality, enrollment feedback, and drop-off points
- Use sales insights to optimize campaign targeting, ad messaging, and landing pages
- Help establish a feedback loop between marketing spend and actual enrollments
Vendor & Affiliate Lead Oversight
- Evaluate and manage third-party lead providers and affiliates
- Set filters, negotiate pricing, and compare against internal digital performance
- Track lead source quality and help scale what works
SEO & Organic Growth (Secondary)
- Create and drive a light SEO roadmap (we have writers available)
- Coordinate implementation of content and link-building strategies
- Help improve site structure and page performance to support lead generation
Required Experience
- 4+ years running direct-response Google Ads & Meta campaigns
- Experience managing $50K+ per month in ad spend
- Full knowledge of digital and offline tracking, including GCLID, GTM, attribution models, and UTM best practices
- Familiar with call tracking platforms (e.g., CallRail, Invoca, etc.)
- Strong direct-response mindset: You’ve worked in financial services, lending, mortgage, legal, or another highly competitive, compliance-driven vertical
- Self-directed and highly proactive: you're the kind of person who says “This landing page isn’t converting — here’s a better approach”
Nice to Have
- Experience with landing page builders (Unbounce, Webflow, WordPress)
- Comfortable managing freelancers or contractors (designers, developers)
- Light familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console)
