Lead Backend Software Engineer

The Role

You’ll lead the architecture of our core systems, mentor other engineers, and help us scale our infrastructure as our CTO transitions into a more R&D-heavy role. If you’re someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys ownership, and wants to shape the technical direction of a product with real impact.

What You'll Do

• Lead backend development of our Golang-based APIs, indexers, and services
• Guide a small team of backend engineers (or help build one)
• Design and maintain scalable, cloud-native architecture (Kubernetes, GCP)
• Implement secure and reliable CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Flux CD)
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate ideas into real features
• Keep performance, uptime, and reliability top of mind (Prometheus, Loki)
• Explore new tools and frameworks to keep us ahead of the curve

Ideal Profile

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience (with 2+ years in a senior/lead role)
• Deep experience with Golang in production environments
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals or experience working with indexers
• Experience deploying containerized apps with Kubernetes
• Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Strong communicator and team player with leadership instincts
• Startup mentality — autonomous, proactive, adaptable

• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience scaling infrastructure for high-throughput systems
• Familiarity with smart contracts or decentralized protocols
