Senior Software Engineer (Quarkus/Kotlin/Java)

Professional Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development within agile environments
• Quarkus with Kotlin or Java – ideally with experience in MicroProfile, reactive programming (Vert.x), or RESTEasy Reactive

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of modern software architectures, especially microservices, domain-driven design and hexagonal architecture
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, ideally Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, using tools like GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Cloud experience (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
• Proficient in working with SQL databases and preferably NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Sound knowledge of testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end tests)

Tooling & Frameworks

• Quarkus/Kotlin Stack: IntelliJ, Gradle/Maven, Quarkus extensions, Hibernate Reactive, Panache, RESTEasy Reactive
• Agile Toolset: Jira, Confluence, Scrum/Kanban methodologies

Soft Skills

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a high standard for code quality
• A collaborative team player with solid communication skills who enjoys mentoring less experienced developers
• Commitment to continuous learning and an openness to adopting new technologies
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams (e.g., with Product Owners, QA, DevOps)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge in security concepts such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT
