DESCRIPTION:
The Creative Designer (CD) is a skilled and detail-oriented individual responsible for efficiently managing various production tasks, providing essential graphic support to various projects, primarily in the digital domain. They develop refined designs based on feedback, involving creating master layouts, 2D/3D image compositing, and campaign adaptations using design software. Working independently and methodically to assume ownership of a project, the Creative Designer uses various applications (Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects) and is comfortable with printing/CGI & video production steps and processes. Responsibilities include layout, adaptation, and final delivery of visually appealing pieces tailored to suit different media platforms. The CD collaborates closely with the creative team to ensure all deliverables are of high quality and align with brand guidelines.

EDUCATION:
Technical or Occupational Certificate
Bachelor's Degree (e.g. BA, BS, etc.) in Graphic Design or related field.
Equivalent experience in graphic design may be considered in lieu of a degree.

KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop aesthetically appealing designs for marketing campaigns, internet platforms, print materials, and other promotional materials.
- Assist with the creation and upkeep of brand guidelines to ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
- Using design software and tools to create and alter graphic assets such as illustrations, icons, logos, and photographs.
- Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs, mockups to visualize ideas.
- Adapt and resize assets for various media platforms and formats.
- Manage various production tasks, such as cleaning images, prepping files, and preparing assets for delivery, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute ideas, and participate creatively to build successful design solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and production techniques through continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, content, and development, to ensure that design concepts are consistent with project goals and objectives.
- Keep design assets organized and documented, including version control and archiving.
- Fast learner and apply best practices.
- Execute a variety of print and digital assets, including social media graphics, website designs, marketing collateral, and multimedia presentations.
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions.
- Share ideas in collaboration with other members of the creative team.
- Establish visual tone, character, and messages that will effectively connect with the target audience and fulfill the project objectives.
- Cooperate with the rest of the creative team.
- Present completed ideas to clients and team members.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Within the field providing a solid foundation in design principles, typography, color theory, and design software.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent design tools. Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote, Figma.
- Thorough understanding of how visual elements and design choices impact communication. This includes effectively conveying messages, emotions, and brand identities through design, and ensuring that the intended audience receives the desired message.
- Creative designers must pay attention to even the smallest details in their designs. This includes ensuring proper alignment, consistency, and accuracy in elements such as text, graphics, and spacing.
- A portfolio that demonstrates an in-depth understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and originality.
- Creative designers often work in teams or collaborate with clients and other stakeholders. Strong communication skills are essential to understand project requirements, present design ideas effectively, and work collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
