About The Role
The Marketing Manager at Builders Warehouse is a vital leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive marketing strategies across our markets in Nebraska and Colorado. This full-time position reports directly to the CEO and is tasked with elevating the Builders brand, increasing market awareness, and driving sales growth through innovative advertising and promotional initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, creative flair, and strong analytical skills to oversee all marketing activities, including digital marketing, social media, advertising campaigns, and community engagement efforts. This role requires a proactive approach to market analysis, vendor relations, and team collaboration to ensure our marketing efforts align with company goals and customer needs. The Marketing Manager will also be instrumental in managing budgets, analyzing campaign effectiveness, and supporting local market development initiatives to strengthen Builders Warehouse’s presence and reputation in our service areas.
Qualifications
A four-year degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience, demonstrating a proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential. The candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with strong organizational and analytical capabilities. Leadership qualities, decision-making skills, and the ability to motivate and influence team members are critical. Knowledge of digital marketing trends, social media platforms, and generational marketing strategies is highly desirable. The ability to learn new software and management systems quickly is also required to ensure seamless integration with existing processes.
Responsibilities
The Marketing Manager will oversee the development and execution of company-wide advertising and marketing strategies, ensuring brand consistency across all channels. Responsibilities include managing the marketing and promotional budget aligned with organizational objectives, analyzing local markets and competitors to inform campaign planning, and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing initiatives through detailed reporting and analysis. The role involves creating and managing various promotional programs such as direct mail, email campaigns, trade shows, customer events, and training sessions. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company’s social media presence, developing print, radio, TV, and web-based advertising in collaboration with external media resources. Supporting division managers in identifying local market opportunities and participating in vendor-sponsored marketing events are key aspects of the role. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will oversee procurement of advertising materials, monitor the consistency of all promotional messaging, and coordinate retail signage and visual merchandising efforts. Researching and securing high-resolution images, writing compelling copy, and increasing online visibility are ongoing tasks. Occasional travel to markets, seminars, and industry events is required, and the position involves a workweek averaging over 50 hours, including some evenings and weekends.
