About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Game Designer (Remote) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves working closely with cutting-edge AI development projects, specifically focusing on board game reasoning and strategic evaluation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of game mechanics, strategic reasoning, and complex rule systems, with a passion for leveraging these skills to enhance artificial intelligence models. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and evaluating datasets that serve as the foundation for training next-generation AI systems. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to collaborate with global teams from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, cognitive science, game design, philosophy, economics, or a related analytical discipline.
• At least two years of professional or semi-professional experience in board game design, playtesting, tabletop gaming communities, or other strategy-focused environments.
• Strong understanding of logic, probabilistic reasoning, game mechanics, and complex rule systems.
• Background in game theory, behavioral economics, decision science, or formal logic is highly desirable.
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting evaluation procedures, results, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at improving AI reasoning capabilities through board game expertise, including:

• Creating and reviewing game-based reasoning tasks designed to evaluate AI systems' decision-making and strategic understanding.
• Analyzing complex board-game scenarios, developing strategic decision trees, and designing rule-based systems for dataset development.
• Assessing AI-generated responses for correctness, logical consistency, and reasoning quality, providing constructive feedback for improvements.
• Developing prompts, rubrics, and detailed evaluation guidelines tailored to board game and strategic reasoning tasks.
• Identifying logical errors, rule violations, and flawed reasoning patterns in AI outputs, contributing to benchmark creation and dataset refinement.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance dataset quality and evaluation methodologies, ensuring alignment with project goals.
