About The Role

The Strategic Data Scientist at CoverMyMeds plays a vital role in driving the success of our organization by leveraging data analytics to deliver actionable insights. This position involves refining value propositions, supporting customer teams, and providing world-class analytical support using our extensive data resources. The focus is on maximizing the value of data insights that directly impact our commercial outcomes and enhance client satisfaction.

The role requires extensive collaboration across various business units and external clients, ensuring that analytical efforts align with strategic goals. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable in a dynamic environment, and skilled at translating complex data into clear, impactful stories and recommendations. This position offers an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, improve product offerings, and support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or higher in data analytics, business, public health, or a related field; healthcare experience is highly preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical analytics roles.
• Strong understanding of data science methodologies including decision trees, multivariate analysis, segmentation modeling, regression analysis, forecasting, and machine learning.
• Proficiency with statistical software such as Python, R, SAS, or MATLAB.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL for data querying and management.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a curiosity-driven approach to complex data issues.
• Effective communication skills to present insights clearly and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer success teams and external clients by demonstrating the value of CoverMyMeds products through compelling data stories.
• Deliver proactive analyses on portfolio performance, customer needs, and market trends, including identifying risks and opportunities.
• Apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to analyze product data, identify key drivers, and forecast future outcomes.
• Monitor portfolio health metrics, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
• Create clear, concise client-facing visuals and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Identify areas for product improvement and analytical efficiency to enhance overall value delivery.
• Support complex client requests and escalate issues in partnership with account teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
• Contribute insights that inform strategic and tactical decisions related to competitive positioning, product development, and operational improvements.
• Develop deep expertise in CoverMyMeds, the pharmaceutical industry, and the specific business contexts of supported accounts.
