Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance enterprise Java applications that support digital banking and treasury technology initiatives.
• Lead the development of scalable microservices and secure REST APIs using modern software engineering practices.
• Partner directly with client technology teams and internal consultants to deliver complex implementation and platform modernization projects.
• Contribute to software integration, data conversion, and digital banking platform migration initiatives for financial institutions.
• Drive technical design discussions, establish development standards, and perform detailed code and performance reviews.
• Collaborate across engineering, implementation, and business teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and optimize cloud-native applications deployed in containerized environments while supporting operational excellence.
• Mentor fellow engineers and promote best practices in architecture, testing, scalability, and application performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional Java development experience, including Spring Boot, Spring Security, and enterprise application design.
• Proven experience developing microservices, REST APIs, and working with Microsoft or Oracle databases using advanced SQL.
• Background supporting commercial treasury, digital banking, software implementation, platform migration, or data conversion projects within financial services.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, containerized applications, or modern distributed architectures.
• Familiarity with technologies such as React, Kafka, Redis, monitoring platforms, or related enterprise development tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills with the ability to work directly with clients in a consulting environment.
