Under minimal supervision, leads, develops and executes strategy for one or more marketing initiatives. Resolves problems and makes recommendations related to highly complex and interrelated matters and projects. Leads project activities and consults across multiple project teams, including identification of business requirements needed for impacted systems. Coaches others in less senior positions.

Essential Functions

About the Role -

The Opportunity: Join the leadership team shaping how FedEx DataWorks goes to market. As Marketing Principal for Growth, you will be the senior marketing voice driving the strategy, positioning, and demand engine for supply chain intelligence — owning the full arc from market insight to pipeline contribution.

Your Mission: Your mission is to define how we grow. You will set the strategic direction for our go-to-market efforts, lead cross-functional alignment on positioning and messaging, and ensure our marketing investments translate into measurable business outcomes. You are the connective tissue between product, sales, and the market.

What You'll Do

  • Own and evolve the go-to-market strategy for DataWorks' growth portfolio, including segmentation, positioning, and channel strategy.
  • Lead integrated campaign planning and execution across digital, content, events, and business development channels — setting the standard for how the team operates.
  • Define and govern the marketing analytics framework, establishing the KPIs, attribution models, and reporting cadences that connect marketing activity to pipeline and revenue.
  • Serve as a senior thought partner to Marketing, Product, and Business Development leadership on market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and customer insights.
  • Mentor and elevate the analytical and campaign capabilities of the broader marketing team, including the Marketing Analyst Lead.
  • Drive executive-level reporting and storytelling — translating complex data and market signals into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Lead the evaluation and evolution of our marketing technology stack to ensure it scales with the business.

Who You Are

  • You have 8–12 years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with significant time in a senior or lead capacity — ideally in data, logistics, supply chain, or enterprise SaaS.
  • You are a strategic operator: equally comfortable shaping a positioning narrative in the morning and pressure-testing attribution logic in the afternoon.
  • You have deep familiarity with marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms (e.g., HubSpot/Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau) and can hold your own in technical conversations while always connecting back to business impact.
  • You are a natural leader and collaborator who builds credibility quickly across functions and levels — from analysts to C-suite.
  • You are an exceptional communicator and storyteller, able to make a compelling case for marketing's role and results in any room.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and founding-team dynamics — you build the plane while flying it, and you take pride in the infrastructure you leave behind.

Minimum Education

Master's degree/equivalent in Marketing, Finance, Computer Science or related business discipline.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years experience in marketing, advertising, sales administration, or related discipline. Knowledge of the broad application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in marketing disciplines, project management, information analysis and computer-generated modeling. Excellent human relations and communication/presentation skills. Advanced organizational, quantitative and analytical skills, including experience in database marketing and computer-generated modeling. Experience leading complex and interrelated initiatives in a corporate environment. Customer-focused orientation.
