The Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior UX Designer to own and elevate the end-to-end user experience at Fastn. As our first senior UX hire, you'll lead the design of intuitive, elegant workflows that simplify complex technical tasks, enhance user satisfaction, and drive product adoption.

You'll play a pivotal role in defining Fastn's UX strategy and design system crafting onboarding journeys, feature discovery flows, and everyday interactions that make integration management feel seamless and empowering. Your work will directly impact our core metrics, including user activation, engagement, and retention.

What You'll Do

• Own the UX design process across Fastn's platform from initial concept to user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI designs
• Design and optimize critical user journeys including onboarding, activation, and feature adoption experiences
• Translate complex product requirements into clean, intuitive interfaces and interactions
• Build and test prototypes at various fidelity levels to communicate design concepts and gather feedback
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and customer interviews to validate design decisions
• Create and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency across the platform
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and leadership to align designs with business goals
• Champion user-centric design thinking across the company and help establish UX best practices

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• 10+ years of professional UX design experience, with a focus on SaaS or complex web applications
• Early stage startup experience in B2B space
• Strong portfolio showcasing user flows, prototypes, and finalized designs that solved real user problems
• Expertise with Figma and modern design/prototyping tools
• Proven ability to balance product goals, technical constraints, and user needs
• Experience conducting user research and applying insights to design decisions
• Exceptional communication skills able to present and explain design decisions clearly
• Experience working with component-based design systems
• Collaborative approach to working with product and engineering teams

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience designing for platforms involving integrations, APIs, or developer-facing products
• Experience with low code/no code softwares
• Understanding of frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript fundamentals)
• Experience scaling UX processes in a fast-growing startup environment
