Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, with a focus on firmware development and related hardware. This role involves working closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers to design, develop, and optimize embedded systems for our advanced battery technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Firmware Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for battery management systems, including safety, monitoring, and control functions.
- System Integration: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate embedded systems with other components of the battery system, ensuring seamless operation and reliability.
- Hardware Interface: Work with various microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, SPI, I2C) to interface with hardware components.
- Debugging and Testing: Conduct debugging and testing of embedded systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the highest levels of performance and reliability.
- Optimization: Optimize embedded code for efficiency, power consumption, and real-time performance, tailored to the specific needs of our battery technologies.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of firmware designs, coding practices, testing procedures, and system integration.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all embedded systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations, particularly those related to battery systems and energy storage.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems and battery management, and apply this knowledge to improve existing products and processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in embedded systems development, preferably in the energy storage or automotive industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with microcontrollers and embedded operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS).
- Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART.
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes).
- Understanding of power electronics and battery technologies is desirable.
