The UX/UI Designer will lead the design of intuitive, efficient, and highly usable in-store technology interfaces that directly support Team Member execution, speed of service, accuracy, and compliance across retail and financial workflows. This role is deeply focused on how store-based Team Members interact with technology in real operational environments, including item intake, customer verification, loyalty enrollments, pricing, loan processing, payments, and inventory management.
Success in this role is defined by the ability to optimize Team Member–to–technology interactions in fast-paced store settings, ensuring that systems are easy to learn, fast to execute, resistant to error, and supportive of real-world operational pressures.
Job Responsibilities
Core Design Responsibilities
- Observe in-store Team Member behavior to identify friction, workarounds, training gaps, and adoption barriers related to technology
- Design experiences optimized for frontline Team Member use in high-frequency, compliance-driven store transactions
- Lead UX design for retail and financial workflows: AI integrations, item intake/pricing, customer profiles, loyalty enrollment, inventory, payment capture, and fraud mitigation
- Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering on business rules, regulatory disclosures, and technical feasibility
- Design UI logic supporting data accuracy, keyboard-first/mobile navigation, field validation, and error-prevention
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and annotated specifications for data entry screens and approval journeys
- Deliver pixel-perfect, visually polished interfaces that balance aesthetics with usability
- Validate designs through usability testing, requirements workshops, and iterative prototype reviews
- Identify opportunities to reduce keystrokes, shorten learning time, streamline flows, and minimize errors
- Partner with risk, compliance, and legal teams to implement identity verification, consent steps, and document requirements
- Contribute to design systems with components optimized for operational workflows
