POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a sharp, analytical, and culturally curious Research & Insights Specialist to help shape and grow our research offering. In this role, you will design and lead research initiatives that uncover meaningful insights using influencers and their audiences as the primary lens to explore culture, behavior, and consumer motivations.
You will be responsible for building our internal research methodologies, developing tools and frameworks, analyzing data, and crafting insights that fuel smarter strategy and stronger storytelling across client campaigns. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Influencer-Led Research Design & Execution: Develop and implement research methodologies leveraging influencers and their audiences as the primary sample to capture both qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze data from third-party sources and influencer-driven studies to identify trends, cultural nuances, and actionable insights.
- Insight Reporting Translate complex data into compelling reports and clear, strategic recommendations that drive influencer, social, and experiential campaigns.
- Tool & Framework Development: Build scalable methodologies, templates, and tools for recurring and custom research initiatives.
- Trend & Culture Monitoring: Track emerging cultural trends, audience shifts, and digital behavior to inform client strategy and creative thinking.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with influencers, data specialists, and internal teams to ensure research studies align with business goals and campaign strategies.
- Client-Facing Presentations: Present research findings and storytelling frameworks to internal teams and external clients in a clear, confident, and engaging way.
- Innovation: Stay up to date on new research technologies, social listening tools, and influencer-driven methodologies to keep EC Intelligence at the forefront of the industry.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 4+ years of experience in research, consumer insights, or market intelligence (agency or influencer marketing experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with research tools (Typeform, Google Surveys, Survey Monkey, Brandwatch, AI platforms, etc.), and qualitative and quantitative methodologies (social listening, interviews, focus groups, ethnographies, etc.)
- Solid understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), including how each platform enables targeting, paid promotion, collects data, and reports metrics to support research design and analysis.
- Deep knowledge of cultural marketing in the U.S. and how to extract culturally relevant insights from real conversations and behaviors.
- Skilled in Excel/Google Sheets for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
- Strong skills in creating compelling presentations using Canva and/or Gslide to effectively communicate research findings.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, ability to connect dots between behaviors, culture, and brand objectives.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal). Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Proactive mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.
