Lead Software Engineer

I'm working with a growing company in the finance space that’s investing heavily in their engineering team as they scale their core product offering. Backed by a credible leadership team and strong funding, they’re now looking for a Principal Full Stack Engineer to lead technical decisions and help shape the direction of their platform.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 5–7 years' experience who’s looking to step into a high-impact, hands-on role with scope to influence architecture, team culture, and long-term growth

Role: Principle Engineer

Location: Remote (UK & EU)

Salary: £90k - 130k

Must Have

• 5–7 years’ full stack experience in modern web development
• Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails for backend development
• Confident building frontend features in React
• A product-driven mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience contributing to architecture and mentoring others
• Experience in startup and scaling environments, ideally in finance or fintech
• Exposure to AI tooling (e.g., ML frameworks, AI APIs, or similar)

Computer Science degree or equivalent technical qualification (essential)
