Summary
Join our team as a Senior UX Product Designer (CONTRACTOR), where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our ecommerce experience for over a million engaged members. Our platform delivers best-in-class deals on the brands and products they love—and we need your expertise to make discovering and purchasing them even more seamless and intuitive.
In This Contractor Role, You’ll:
- Refine the commerce funnel to drive higher conversion and effortless purchasing.
- Design engaging product discovery experiences that introduce members to everything our platform has to offer.
- Craft intuitive ways to showcase our platform’s unique value, making it easy for members to understand and engage.
- Enhance internal tools that power product discovery, evaluation, and the overall shopping experience.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations and Marketing to create thoughtful, data-driven designs that balance business goals with user needs—helping millions of members shop smarter and with confidence. This Contractor reports results directly to the Director of Product Design.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the UX strategy and execution for a product team within a key strategic area, shaping the future of our eCommerce experience.
- Champion and evolve our design system, collaborating with the broader design team to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all touch points.
- Lead end-to-end design for major initiatives, from user research and concept development to high-fidelity designs and implementation.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to identify friction points, streamline the shopping funnel, and optimize for growth and conversion.
- Advocate for the user at every stage, ensuring that features deliver tangible value while maintaining an intuitive and seamless experience.
- Leverage user research and data insights to inform design decisions, conducting usability tests and iterating based on real customer behavior.
- Deliver pixel-perfect, cross-device designs, including interaction patterns, UI specifications, wireframes, and prototypes that translate seamlessly into development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of UX design experience in a fast-paced tech-driven environment, preferably in e-commerce.
- Strong ability to wireframe, prototype, and test solutions to ensure an intuitive and effective user experience.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams, participating in design sprints, daily standups, and iterative feedback loops.
- Ability to collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to refine user stories and deliverables.
- Demonstrates data-driven, user-centric design solutions that have led to measurable improvements in user experience and business KPIs.
- Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and thought process.
- Ability to advocate for design decisions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with developers to ensure smooth handoff and implementation.
- Ability to identify and resolve UX challenges in complex digital products.
- A growth mindset, continuously iterating on designs based on feedback and data insights.
This is a CONTRACT/1099 position with the intent to eventually hire this person on as a full-time employee in the future. Compensation/Rates to be negotiated.
