Go Software Engineer

In this role, you will build and ship production features in Go/Golang with a sharp, supportive team. You’ll lead by coding, mentoring junior developers, and partnering directly with the client to make smart design decisions. The Tech Stack includes Go, React/React Native, AWS (Docker, RDS/MySQL, VPC) and would also prefer AI pair-programming experience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a small Agile pod, model high-quality code and reviews
• Own technical design and delivery for backend services in Go
• Contribute to React/React Native as needed
• Improve team velocity by breaking work down, removing roadblocks, and raising the quality bar
• Troubleshoot production issues and guide sustainable fixes
• Coach junior engineers and contribute to sprint ceremonies

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years of software engineering
• 4+ years Go/Golang development experience, some React (Web and/or Native)
• Hands-on AWS & DevOps experience (containers, RDS/MySQL, VPC)
• Experience professionally with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) and modern review practices
• Experience collaborating with both engineering and business stakeholders while leading a small team
• Preferred experience in consulting, startup, or nonprofit environments
