Sr. Backend Software Engineer-GenAI

About the Role:

We’re looking for Backend Software Engineer with at least 5 years of experience who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys figuring things out by diving directly into the codebase. You’ll play a key role in building backend services and data-centric products, with a strong emphasis on modern GenAI and agentic AI applications. If you love solving complex problems, working across cloud-native systems, and experimenting with emerging AI frameworks.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI).
• Develop and scale GenAI and agentic AI applications using frameworks such as LangChain / LangGraph, ADK, Agent Engine, CrewAI, MCP/A2A, and others.
• Work across cloud environments—primarily GCP (Cloud Run/GKE, Composer, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, AlloyDB/Cloud SQL)—or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Build data-driven features, pipelines, and integrations that power intelligent applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into robust backend and data solutions.
• Explore and understand existing systems with minimal guidance, proposing improvements and driving initiatives independently.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience, with a strong foundation in building scalable backend and data products.
• Proficiency in Python, especially FastAPI, and strong SQL skills.
• Experience developing GenAI/agentic AI applications using modern frameworks and toolkits.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native development on GCP or similar cloud platforms.
• Ability to navigate large codebases, learn quickly, and operate with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Java/Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of data modeling, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with container orchestration, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code
