Senior UI/UX Designer

As a Senior UI/UX Designer at EXL, you will help shape modern, user-centered digital products across data, analytics, AI, and enterprise workflow experiences. This role blends strong UX fundamentals with AI-augmented design workflows, scalable design systems, and practical front-end technical skills. You will translate complex business and user needs into intuitive journeys, high-quality interface designs, reusable design patterns, and clickable React-based prototypes that help teams validate ideas faster and move from Figma to working product experiences with greater speed and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end design work from problem framing, discovery, research synthesis, information architecture, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability validation, design documentation, and delivery support.

· Partner with team members and leaders to convert business goals into clear user stories, workflows, UI requirements, and design decisions.

· Create high-quality Figma designs, interactive prototypes, user flows, state diagrams, and design specifications for web and enterprise applications.

· Use approved AI-assisted tools such as Cursor and Claude to accelerate design-to-code workflows, including turning Figma concepts into clickable React prototypes or working front-end proof-of-concepts where appropriate.

· Apply and evolve the Design System across products, including design tokens, component usage, page templates, accessibility rules, responsive behavior, chart patterns, and documentation that can be used by both humans and AI coding agents.

· Support design system governance by identifying reusable patterns, documenting usage guidance, maintaining visual consistency, and helping teams avoid one-off UI decisions.

· Design enterprise-grade experiences, including dashboards, analytics workflows, data preparation, model training, AI assistant interactions, admin tools, and complex form-driven applications.

· Improve usability and user guidance by reducing information overload, clarifying hierarchy, adding progress feedback, empty states, error/success messaging, loading states, and clear next-best actions.

· Collaborate closely with front-end engineers to ensure designs are feasible, accessible, performant, responsive, and aligned to React component and Storybook implementation patterns.

· Conduct or support research, usability testing, stakeholder reviews, heuristic evaluations, and AI-assisted research synthesis to inform design decisions.

· Present design rationale clearly, advocate for user needs, and connect UX decisions to business value, adoption, confidence, and product maturity.

Required Qualifications

· 6+ years in UX, UI, product, or interaction design.

· Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and measurable outcomes.

· Expert in Figma, prototyping, responsive design, and developer handoff.

· Experience with enterprise, SaaS, analytics, AI, or workflow-driven products.

· Skilled in user research, IA, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and documentation.

· Experience building and applying design systems and accessibility standards.

· Understanding of front-end technologies and collaboration with engineering teams.

· Familiarity with AI-assisted design and productivity tools.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience in Agile product development environments.

· Ability to balance user, business, and technical needs.
