Lead Data Scientist

Workintech is renowned for its high-caliber tech education and is now seeking to amplify its impact globally by enhancing AI-driven learning platforms and expanding its product offerings. In this exciting phase, we are on the lookout for an adept Lead Data Scientist to spearhead these initiatives.

What you will do:

• Lead new Data Programs. Provide strong subject-matter expertise to ensure the curriculum reflects current and robust Data Science & Data Analytics practices.
• Be part of the Product team to improve company’s AI software. Explore and evaluate opportunities for product improvement.
• Teach data scientist classes online (remote live programs) during the day for learners. Work closely with the Instruction team, and monitor overall student participation and performance.
• Provide actionable insights about our users such as how they learn, how they drop, and which obstacles they might run into on the platform.
• Coordinate cross-functionally across multiple teams to contribute to the goals and initiatives of the new Data programs in conjunction with learning leadership plans and objectives.
• Develop and track success metrics for product initiatives. Develop data pipelines and continuously improve the quality and accessibility of data. Define metrics and build/improve dashboards to track the adoption and health of learning data.

What you will need:

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on working experience working in the data field.
• Some experience in teaching/training/mentoring or coaching of novices, and/or instructional design. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a novice; strong empathy for learners.
• Strong Knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data science - machine learning frameworks and libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Huggingface Transformers.
• Understanding of relevant statistical measures such as confidence intervals, the significance of error measurements, development, and evaluation data sets.
• Ability to extract, interpret, and present insights from unstructured and structured data.
• End-to-end experience organizing & analyzing large data sets for operational purposes
• Experience in education is not required, but a passion for education/learning and developing others with the help of new technologies is a must.
• Passion and interest in keeping up with the latest in Data Science & AI technology.
• Start-up mentality; highly motivated with problem-solving ability; proactive, resourceful.
