We’re looking for an experienced Email Marketing Automation Assistant to join our operations team. This role is all about owning, monitoring, and improving automated marketing workflows, ensuring our consultants can deliver highly targeted, effective outreach campaigns.

- You must be available for regular Microsoft Teams calls with our UK-based head office.
- Fast and reliable internet is essential, along with your own up-to-date laptop or desktop.
- You’ll need either a quiet, private workspace or a high-quality headset with microphone to ensure clear, uninterrupted communication.
- This position is offered strictly on a subcontractor basis to reduce overheads, enabling us to provide a highly competitive rate of pay.
- During agreed working hours, you are expected to remain available and contactable via Teams for fast, collaborative dialogue.
- Fluent English, both written and oral, is required.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and optimising complex automation sequences within our CRM. This includes:
- Reviewing and evaluating the performance of our existing automation portfolio, identifying what’s working, what needs improving, and where gaps exist.
- Creating multi-branch workflows and email sequences that trigger from list criteria, candidate/contact coding, or event-based activity.
- Actively monitoring automations to ensure they run as intended — not simply “set and forget,” but continuously refining and improving them.
- Reporting on performance metrics and defining success measures for each workflow.
- Educating recruiters on the actions and behaviours required from them to trigger automations effectively.
- Proactively recommending improvements and developing new automation campaigns to maximise engagement and results.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential: proven, hands-on experience with email marketing automation software (any platform; Bullhorn Automation highly valued).
- Strong understanding of CRM-driven automations — including trigger logic, segmentation, and behavioural conditions.
- Ideally, experience with CRM-connected email marketing tools for nurturing contacts using branches (rules, segments, and decision trees based on user data or behaviour).
- Analytical mindset, able to evaluate performance and optimise for stronger results.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proactive problem-solver who can think critically and suggest improvements.
- Experience working with UK, US, Canadian and/or Australian clients.
- Strong experience writing marketing email copy.
