Location: Arnhem, Netherlands | Hybrid

ExcelGens is hiring a Data Scientist – Maintenance for an exciting opportunity focused on data-driven maintenance, predictive analytics, AI and asset performance optimization within the energy and infrastructure domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data-driven maintenance strategies and road maps.
• Drive data projects involving predictive maintenance, AI and BI.
• Work closely with technology and engineering teams to implement data-driven maintenance solutions.
• Develop and maintain methods for monitoring the condition of assets.
• Contribute to long-term data-driven maintenance policies.
• Support optimization of maintenance management and asset performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Master's degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data-driven maintenance or a closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Git and Power BI.
• Proven understanding of high-voltage grids and relevant electrical/physical principles.
• Experience with predictive maintenance, asset performance or asset management is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Practical Information

• Hybrid position based in Arnhem, Netherlands.
• Minimum 2 days per week onsite, with Monday mandatory.
• During the initial period, additional onsite presence may be required.
• Candidates should be available for the full assignment period.
• Self-employed professionals may also be considered.
• Pre-employment screening will be required before the start of the assignment.
