About The Role
The Social Media Manager owns the organic social strategy across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels, translating a complex technology platform into clear, useful, and engaging content.
The role matters because social is a key channel for category awareness, executive visibility, product education, and community growth. This person will partner with product marketing, content, communications, design, and demand generation to build a consistent presence and connect social performance to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the social media strategy, editorial calendar, channel plans, and publishing workflows across organic and executive social accounts
- Create, edit, and distribute platform-native content including product narratives, customer stories, thought leadership, short-form video, graphics, and event coverage
- Manage publishing and listening workflows in tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms; maintain governance, permissions, and response standards
- Monitor channel performance using native analytics, GA4, UTM tracking, and dashboarding tools; report on reach, engagement, traffic, follower growth, and conversion trends
- Partner with product marketing, SEO, communications, and demand generation teams to amplify launches, campaigns, webinars, research, and customer proof points
- Build and optimize social experiments across messaging, formats, posting cadence, and calls to action; use performance data to improve content and distribution
- Monitor conversations, trends, and brand sentiment; escalate reputational, customer, or security-sensitive issues through established communications and legal processes
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience managing social media, content marketing, digital marketing, or communications programs for a technology company or agency
- Demonstrated ability to build an organic social strategy and execute consistently across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and related channels
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain technical products to business and technical audiences
- Hands-on experience with social publishing, listening, and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, LinkedIn Analytics, GA4, and Looker Studio or similar
- Working knowledge of content production tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or CapCut; comfortable briefing designers and video partners
- Experience using UTM parameters, dashboards, and performance reporting to connect social activity with website engagement, leads, and campaign results
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field; Bonus: experience with B2B SaaS, developer tools, AI, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure; executive social programs; paid social; and community management
