Full Stack Software Engineer (remote, Canada)

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our SaaS platform. You’ll work closely with a talented team of engineers to design and build scalable, high-performance solutions across both frontend and backend, driving efficiency for our customers. Ideally, you’re someone who thrives in a startup environment, is passionate about cloud technologies, and has a strong background in both frontend and backend development — with expertise in Python/Django, API development and modern frontend frameworks like ReactJS.

• Build and scale backend systems using Python (Django) and integrate APIs that power our cloud optimization platform.
• Collaborate with other developers to integrate dynamic features between the backend and user-facing components.
• Design and implement cloud-based APIs that interact with third-party services and platforms.
• Optimize server-side logic to ensure fast, reliable, and secure interactions.
• Work alongside product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Help drive the technical direction of the platform while maintaining high standards of software quality.
• Continuously explore new technologies and best practices to enhance the platform’s performance and reliability.

🧐 Is this you?

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in both frontend and backend development.
• Comfortable working across the full stack, with equal proficiency in frontend and backend technologies, ensuring smooth integration between both.
• Proficient in backend technologies, particularly Python (Django preferred), with hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs (DRF preferred).
• Strong experience in frontend development using JavaScript and ReactJS, including building responsive, dynamic, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools like GitLab.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and testing practices.
• Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based applications using Azure or other cloud providers.
• A passion for building scalable, high-performance web applications with a strong focus on user experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native technologies is a plus.
