About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ASO & ASA Marketing Manager on a contract basis to support our AI Mental Health app. This role requires a unique blend of user acquisition, creative, analytical, and strategic expertise. The ASO & ASA Manager will partner cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Growth/User Acquisition, Creative, Analytics, and Product Management to maximize app store presence, improve acquisition efficiency, and optimize live operations.
The ideal candidate is data-driven yet creatively minded, with a proven track record of driving growth through App Store Optimization (ASO) and Apple Search Ads (ASA).
Responsibilities
- Own and develop the end-to-end App Store Optimization (ASO) and Apple Search Ads (ASA) strategy and roadmap across the app portfolio.
- Manage and continuously optimize store assets (icons, screenshots, preview videos, feature graphics, descriptions, etc.) to improve funnel efficiency, conversion rates, and installs.
- Plan, launch, and optimize Apple Search Ads campaigns across North America to maximize efficiency and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Build granular campaign structures (Discovery, Brand, Competitor, Category) and continuously refine bids, keywords, and creative sets.
- Lead A/B testing initiatives using App Store Connect, Google Play, and third-party testing platforms.
- Conduct ongoing keyword research, competitive analysis, and performance reporting to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Leverage ASO insights to inform ASA strategy, and ASA campaign learnings to optimize ASO performance.
- Collaborate with Apple, Google, and other platform partners to maximize featuring opportunities and implement best practices.
- Partner with Growth, Creative, and First Party teams on testing roadmaps and marketing strategies.
- Assist in selecting and managing creative production for ASO and ASA deliverables.
- Deliver actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Stay up to date on emerging ASO, ASA, mobile marketing, and AI health app trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on ASO experience within mobile apps (health/wellness or AI preferred).
- Proven experience managing Apple Search Ads (ASA) campaigns at scale.
- Proficiency with leading ASO tools (e.g., Geeklab, App Store Connect, Sensor Tower/Data.ai, StoreMaven, SplitMetrics, AppTweak).
- Deep knowledge of Apple App Store and Google Play ecosystems, algorithms, and ranking factors.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, Looker, Tableau, or other BI platforms.
- Proven ability to synthesize data into insights and present recommendations to executives.
- Solid understanding of the competitive mobile health and AI wellness landscape.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with MMPs (AppsFlyer, Singular, Adjust, Kochava) and attribution reporting.
- Experience with the end-to-end marketing creative process and digital asset production.
- Background in user acquisition or growth marketing.
- Strong presentation skills with experience preparing executive-ready reports.
- Familiarity with ASO/SEO principles in app ecosystems.
