Role Description
Are you a passionate and innovative UI/UX Designer with a knack for transforming complex data into intuitive and engaging user experiences? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, data-rich environment? We are seeking a talented individual to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping our market intelligence platform. The initial contract term is two months, with the possibility of extension at the company's discretion.
Our platform empowers financial professionals with forward-looking insights, analytics, and tools to navigate the dynamic world of investment funds. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping and optimizing the user journey and contributing to product decisions, ensuring our platform is not only insightful but also incredibly easy and enjoyable to use.
We’re looking for someone who not only crafts interfaces, but thinks in terms of user value, product strategy, and business impact. You should be comfortable asking “why?”, prioritizing features that matter most, and contributing ideas that shape the direction of our platform. Experience working in product-centric teams or startups is a big plus.
Key Responsibilities:
User Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, ethnographic studies) to understand user needs, behaviors, pain points, and motivations within the fintech domain. Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.
Information Architecture & Wireframing: Develop clear and logical information architectures, user flows, site maps, and navigation models. Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes to visualize and test design solutions.
UI Design & Prototyping: Design intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional user interfaces for web, adhering to brand guidelines and best practices. Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate functionality and gather feedback. Define and refine interaction patterns, animations, and micro-interactions to enhance usability and provide a delightful user experience.
Usability Testing & Iteration: Plan, conduct, and analyze usability tests to identify areas for improvement. Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analytics, and business requirements.
Design System Management: Contribute to and maintain a robust design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the platform.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, developers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions. Effectively communicate design rationale and present concepts to various audiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Portfolio: A strong online portfolio of top-class work showcasing a range of UI/UX design projects, demonstrating your design process, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Projects involving complex data visualization or financial applications are a significant plus.
UI/UX Design Expertise: Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision). Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility standards. Strong grasp of visual design principles (typography, color theory, layout, iconography). Experience with responsive design for various devices and screen sizes. Strong skills in creating user flows, wireframes, and site maps.
Research & Analysis: Proven experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research. Ability to synthesize research findings into actionable design insights.
Prototyping & Testing: Experience creating interactive prototypes and conducting usability testing.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Domain Knowledge (Highly Desirable but not mandatory): Familiarity with financial concepts, market data, trading platforms, or investment tools. Understanding of data visualization best practices for complex financial information.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in a SaaS, B2B, or fintech environment.
