Numerical Software Engineer | CFD / GPU / Quantum Computing
A revolutionary start-up in Belgium is looking for a talented and experienced Numerical Software Engineer to join the team in Brussels, Belgium.
In this full-time role, you'll be a key part of the R&D team, developing the next generation of high-fidelity flow simulation software for industrial applications in aerospace, energy, and environmental sciences.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about creating groundbreaking solutions and is ready to make a significant impact on both industry and the environment.
What You'll Do:
- Innovate and Develop: Extend our core solver technology by developing creative algorithms and innovative solutions to complex problems. Your work will focus on advancing our high-fidelity, scale-resolved CFD software.
- Program and Optimize: Write native GPU code and work with technologies like C, C++, CUDA, and Python to create a paradigm shift in simulation accuracy and productivity.
- Research and Validate: Conduct cutting-edge research, analyze data, and validate your developments on documented experiments. You will also have the opportunity to participate in scientific conferences and publish papers.
What We're Looking For:
- CFD and Numerical Methods: Deep knowledge of advanced numerical methods, specifically for CFD solver and finite volume code development.
- High-Performance Computing: Experience with GPU architecture and native GPU programming is essential. Experience with parallel programming frameworks like Kokkos is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. You must be a creative, communicative, and collaborative team player.
- Education: A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a prerequisite.
- Industry Experience (a plus): Experience in the aerospace, energy, or weather and climate science industries is highly valued.
