We are looking for an experienced Middleware / IIS Administrator with 5–6 years of hands-on expertise in managing and optimising web application environments. JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of our Infrastructure team in a global IT Program, you will work closely with Application Support and Release Management teams to monitor and troubleshoot Production instances, contribute to changes implementation as per established standards, and participate to major incident technical bridges. The technical stack encompasses C# / .NET web applications, IIS administration, Windows and Linux OS, MS SQL databases, VM and container management. Beyond routine tasks, your creativity and proficiency in scripting (Powershell and other languages) will be appreciated to contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives. A strong customer-service mindset, excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain IIS 10 web servers supporting .NET applications.
- Configure bindings, manage websites, backups, and configuration versions.
- Troubleshoot application pools, virtual directories, and worker processes.
- Implement SSL certificates, authentication, access controls, and security best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve IIS, ASP.NET, deployment, and performance issues.
- Collaborate on Azure PaaS/SaaS components (Azure Functions, .NET, JavaScript, Python).
- Utilise Azure monitoring tools for performance and health tracking.
- Manage deployments using tools such as Octopus Deploy.
- Automate operational tasks with PowerShell and other scripting languages.
- Provide support for MS SQL Server and coordinate with DBAs for issue resolution.
- Perform Windows Server 2016/2019 administration and troubleshooting.
- Apply ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Problem); ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery.
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker and manage environments with Docker Compose.
- Work with orchestration and configuration tools (Jenkins, Octopus, Docker, Kubernetes).
