Currently seeking a Senior Project Manager who has experience with data and analytics implementation projects.
This role is a contract with one of our clients. This position can be performed remotely but will require occasional travel to the client site in the Pacific time zone.
Fun Things You Will Do:
- Execute and focus in driving an end-to-end project schedule.
- Facilitate scrum meetings (sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, sprint retrospective, backlog refinement)
- Work with the Product Owner to identify and document business needs/user stories and add them to the product backlog
- Guide Scrum development team in estimating tasks, and committing to product backlog items.
- Track and report project progress using sprint and project burndown charts
- Lead the demonstration of the work completed in a sprint to the product owner and stakeholders in sprint review meetings
- Lead the continual improvement of task estimating methods, development and release processes by facilitating sprint retrospectives
- Teach new scrum team members the scrum framework
- Champion the scrum framework with stakeholders, product owners and scrum team members
- Work with analysts, developers and management to scope projects, and ensure designs are implemented and tested to specifications
- Coordinate and facilitate JAD sessions, meetings, and activities with team members to define integration, security, infrastructure, architecture, and data requirements
Technical Skills:
- Excellent project management skills (5 years preferred)
- On-premises software experience (Required)
- Business and technical requirements document experience a necessity
- Strong presentation and leadership skills are required
- Experience working with technical and business team members
- Ability to work with Product Owner(s) to identify and document business needs/requirements/user stories and add these to the product backlog.
- Effective communication skills and coordination of development; able to communicate with and effectively lead scrum development teams
- Report project status and risks on a regular basis to management
- Analytical, group facilitation and relationship management skills
- Ability to multitask and manage prioritization
- Detail orientation and strong follow-through on personal and team tasks
Certifications: Scrum Master, PMP, PMI-ACP, Six Sigma, ITIL, or equivalent certification
