Expert Opportunity – Staff or Principal Data Scientist ($150/hr, up to $3k/week)

We're working with a leading foundational AI lab to find Staff and Principal-level data scientists who can help train their latest language model on sophisticated DS and analytical reasoning.

This role is particularly well-suited to senior ICs. You've spent years developing the kind of judgment that's hard to articulate but immediately obvious when it's missing: knowing when a causal claim is overreaching, when an experiment is underpowered, when a metric is subtly wrong. That's exactly what we need. Not just someone who can do the work, but someone who can tell when it's been done well.

You'll create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated work across advanced DS workflows: experimental design, causal inference, statistical modelling, metric frameworks, and technical communication to senior stakeholders.

Compensation: $150/hour

Commitment: Flexible, up to 20 hours per week (up to $3,000/week)

Location: Fully remote, work on your own schedule

Qualifications:

• Staff, Principal, or equivalent IC-level data scientist at a top company
• Deep expertise in at least one of: experimentation, causal inference, statistical modelling, or analytical strategy
• Strong written communication; ability to evaluate and critique complex technical work
