The Role
The Director of Investor Relations (IR) and Marketing oversees the investor relations functions of the firm and works closely with the executive leadership team to build ETC’s capital base. The Director of IR and Marketing manages reporting and communications with the firm’s existing investors and supports the marketing of ETC products to new accredited and institutional investors.
Responsibilities
- Manage communications with new and existing investors and supporting them through the sales and onboarding process
- Manage and maintain the investor database and CRM system, ensuring all existing and new investors information is accurate and updated in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain all marketing materials for capital formation and IR purposes
- Build, execute, and track the ETC marketing and outreach processes for all capital sources
- Strategize with management and internal staff to increase engagement and improve marketing processes
- Regular interactions with fund admin and Accounting Manager to ensure timely and accurate investor reporting
- Collaborate with other team members to update all marketing and including changes to website and other marketing outlets
- Responsible for the development of bi-annual investor reporting
- Support fund formation, including assisting with the development of fund offering documents
- Establish and cultivate relationships with key strategic partners, such as industry leaders, in addition to investors in the funds
- Regular interaction with the CIO and COO for operational updates, changes, and improvements
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from top school
- 5+ years of business experience in private equity or finance preferably in an investor relation or marketing function
- In depth understanding of private equity firm and fund structures with experience discussing investment strategies preferred
- Demonstrated track record of success in supporting marketing and IR
- Experience with digital marketing platforms and CRM systems
- High degree of intellectual curiosity with exceptional work ethic, attention-to-detail and can-do/will-do attitude
- Strong knowledge of Excel and exceptional PowerPoint/presentation-building skills
- Superb presentation skills and with experience presenting at industry leading events
- Experience in the renewable energy or QOF sectors is a plus
