Lead Product Designer in our office in Bengaluru
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of Equiti’s shared product surfaces — including global navigation, home and dashboard, acquisition and onboarding flows, and account and settings experiences — across web, iOS, and Android.
- Own and evolve Equiti’s web and mobile design systems — defining and maintaining the component libraries, token architecture, and interaction patterns that underpin every product surface across iOS, Android, and web.
- Define and evolve the information architecture and navigation patterns that connect Equiti’s products, ensuring traders can move seamlessly between CFDs, shares, gold, mutual funds, and financial goals.
- Design and continuously optimize acquisition and onboarding flows to improve activation, KYC completion, funding, and first-trade conversion.
- Craft home and dashboard experiences that surface the right content, insights, and actions for each user — balancing personalization with clarity.
- Partner with product managers, engineering, and feature teams across regions to ensure shared services scale gracefully as the product portfolio expands.
- Use quantitative data and qualitative research to identify friction, prioritize improvements, and validate design decisions on the most heavily trafficked surfaces of the product.
- Champion accessibility, localization, and regulatory considerations across high-impact flows that serve users in multiple regions and languages.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Systems team — consuming, contributing to, and pressure-testing shared components and patterns from real product use cases.
- Establish and enforce design system governance — versioning, deprecation policies, contribution workflows, and documentation standards — ensuring the system remains a trusted, living foundation rather than a stale library.
- Partner with engineering to ensure design system components are accurately implemented across platforms, maintaining a tight design-to-code contract and reducing drift between design intent and shipped product.
- Drive adoption of the design system across feature teams — running onboarding sessions, producing usage guidelines, and acting as the go-to resource for component decisions and system direction.
- Conduct audits of existing flows to identify inconsistencies, dead ends, and opportunities to systematize repeated patterns across products.
- Participate in design reviews and critiques, providing feedback and mentoring designers on user-flow craft, narrative, and decision-making.
- Communicate updates, rationale, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders — from individual contributors to senior leadership.
