Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented Web Designer who can craft beautiful, user-centric websites and landing pages that convert. The ideal candidate combines a strong design sensibility with front-end development chops, understands modern UX/UI standards, and knows how to translate business goals into engaging digital experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, content, and development teams to build sites that elevate our clients’ brands.
What Are Some of the Exciting Challenges You Will Be Working On?
- Design & Build Responsive Sites: Create visually stunning, mobile-first websites using HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox / Grid), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Transform Mock-ups into Code: Work from wireframes or Figma/Adobe XD prototypes to deliver pixel-perfect, accessible pages.
- CMS & Framework Integration: Develop and customize themes in WordPress (or similar CMS) and work with frameworks like React or Vue when projects demand.
- Optimize for Performance & SEO: Implement best practices for page speed, core-web-vitals, structured data, and technical SEO.
- Cross-Browser & Accessibility QA: Ensure flawless rendering across browsers and compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
- Collaborate & Iterate: Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions; present concepts to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Research emerging web technologies, design trends, and tooling—and champion new ideas that keep our clients ahead of the curve.
What Does It Take to Work at Epic Digitization?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on experience in professional web development. Agency or multi-client work is strongly preferred.
- Strong portfolio showcasing responsive design, UI/UX problem-solving, and clean front-end code (please include links).
- Proficiency in:
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- One or more JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
- WordPress or comparable CMS (theme & plugin customization)
- Version control with Git
- Familiarity with REST APIs, basic PHP or Node.js, and build tools (Webpack/Vite) is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of accessibility, SEO fundamentals, and analytics tagging.
- Fluent English—both written and spoken—for seamless client and team interactions.
- Self-starter mindset with the discipline to excel in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
